Radula is a grid-based, turn-based roguelike inspired by games like Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, Brogue, and Caves of Qud.
You are not a hero in armor. You are a slug.
You crawl through the shedding layers, glands, scars, and marrow channels of a vast dying body, feeding on what you kill and reshaping yourself through unstable mutation. Your slime is more than a trail: it is shelter, weapon, route, trap, and memory. Every fight is about position. Every corpse is a choice. Every mutation pushes you closer to power and collapse.
This early alpha already includes:
- Turn-based grid movement and bump combat
- Slime trails with multiple secretion types
- Corpse consumption and mutation choice
- Multiple slug species with different starting bodies
- Instability as a risk/reward system
- Procedural floors with biome variation
- A growing enemy roster with system-specific counters
- ASCII presentation with a classic roguelike feel
Radula is designed around difficult runs, strange builds, and the joy of adapting to a body that is always becoming something else.
This is an early alpha build.

If you play it, feedback is genuinely wanted. This is my first game that is anywhere near playable and had a lot of fun putting MVP together.
Current Development Roadmap:
Expanding the roster of playable slug species- Adding more mutations and more extreme build combinations
- Deepening biome-specific mechanics and floor identity
- Introducing more systemic enemies and encounter variety
- Growing the shrine, corpse, and instability systems
- Improving combat readability, UI, and overall polish
- Building out progression, unlocks, and long-term replayability
